Self Care Practices

Falling into the habit of performing acts of self care will lead to better health and wellness overall. Listed below are some different forms of self care you can try!

PHYSICAL SELF CARE💪🏾-doing things that help our bodies physically! This does not have to be a hard workout! It could simply be walking , eating healthier , or going for a bike ride!

EMOTIONAL SELF CARE🧠-becoming more in tune with your emotions ! This means more mindful of your triggers and thinking patterns and how to manage them! You can express your emotions through journaling (a new habit of mine), cooking , painting , and more!

SPIRITUAL SELF CARE🧘🏾‍♂️- this does not have to always have to refer to religion, but it can! The goal of spiritual self care is to find inner peace , and to nourish your soul. A way to practice this type of self care is to meditate, doing a good deed, or spending time in nature!


INTELLECTUAL SELF CARE📚- this refers to things that challenge and/or nourish your mind! Some ideas for this is reading a book or watching a documentary!

SOCIAL SELF CARE📲- connecting with people that mean something to you - whether it be friends or family! Text or call someone you love today!

SENSORY SELF CARE🎶- this type of self care helps your keep in touch with your senses. It will help bring yourself to the present moment and to rel
